Being a mother is hard work enough...
Being the mother of a mentally ill child is unfathomable to those who have never been there.
Our oldest son, almost 17, has a severe mental illness that has rocked our world upside down and sideways for over a decade. We live each day strapped into a new rollercoaster....not sure how long that days ride will last.
My hope is that by sharing our experiences and how we have coped we will assist and support other families living a similar life with the necessary tools and resources to give their child the highest quality life possible and make it through to the end of each day never feeling alone.
On a lighter note (if there is such a thing)
Currently I am wommaning a family of 5 and tending to a miniature Ark of my own design filled with two goldens, one lioness, several sea creatures, and a snake...oh, I guess we should count the frozen "fuzzes" (Seamoors food).
Things I love to discuss:
*Finding daily joy in our adventure
*Gods fascinating gift...LITTLE BOYS
*Mental Heath
*Addiction and recovery
*Travel and exploration with small children
*Craigslist addiction
*Interior design
*Why laws are good and rules are are evil
I am delighted to have found this site and look forward to learning from other writers while finally bringing to the forefront my hearts passion of putting language down on paper.
Please comment as you like, question everything, as you should and stand up for what you believe.
Blessings,
Jenny
